The connection between a person’s mind and body and the connection between a patient and their healthcare provider are paramount in achieving and maintaining health.

I worked for many years as an archaeologist and educator and then as a medical writer in Western medicine. Like many practitioners, I first discovered Traditional Chinese medicine as a patient, where I was amazed at the fast and effective relief of symptoms through a gentle and relaxing experience. The more I learned, the more I found to admire in this medical approach that works with your body, helping it to correct imbalances. I traveled to do my training in Toronto, Canada, which has a large Chinese population, many herb pharmacies and experienced herbalists, and many resources for Traditional Chinese medicine.

I work by explaining the treatment process and the patterns I observe in my patients to them so that they gain a better understanding of themselves and their health. I'm well suited to help people struggling with chronic health problems, those suffering from pain, people frustrated with their current treatment outcomes, and family members who are interested in finding a practitioner who can treat family members of all ages.

The connection between a person's mind and body and the connection between a patient and their healthcare provider are paramount in achieving and maintaining health. I find those connections to be the most important and the most gratifying aspects of practicing this medicine.

I look forward to working with you.

The white deer symbolizes the healer in Chinese mythology. It is often shown carrying a medicine bottle around its neck in its role of bringing medicine to traditional medicine practitioners.
