Traditional Chinese Medicine is a patient friendly and empowering type of medicine that offers practical help to people seeking relief from distressing symptoms. It uses acupuncture, herbs, and bodywork to address both acute and chronic conditions by correcting imbalances and re-establishing mind-body harmony.

Chinese medicine has been refined over thousands of years to provide effective relief for many types of illnesses in a safe and comfortable way.

Practiced in Asia for over 3,000 years and introduced to the West 50 years ago, acupuncture has rapidly gained a critical place in our medical framework for healing illness and dysfunction. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends acupuncture over opioids for back pain and has a long list of conditions for which acupuncture has been shown to be effective. In addition, the American College of Physicians, Johns Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), recommend acupuncture for many types of pain, arthritis, and respiratory diseases.

But the truly remarkable thing about Traditional Chinese medicine is that it treats every person as a unique individual with their own pattern of symptoms and needs. There are no one-size-fits-all diagnoses or treatments in Chinese medicine. Two people may both be diagnosed with hypertension but they may require very different treatments, depending on their own tailored treatment plan. It's a medicine that helps you understand yourself better.

I began seeing Thalia at the recommendation of my reproductive endocrinologist. Years and a baby later, I continue to see Thalia because of the noticeable improvements I have seen in my body and health.
